My name is Daniel. I worked in private security in California — not in a corporate office, but in the field. I know what it's like to arrive at a shift at 6 AM, clock in with pen and paper, and hope the dispatcher remembers you're there.

I know what it's like to send an incident report by text message because the "system" doesn't work on the guard's phone. I know what it's like to spend an entire weekend calculating payroll with Excel spreadsheets. And I know what it's like when a client calls asking "where is my guard?" and you don't have an answer.

When I looked for software to solve these problems, I found two types of options: the expensive ones (TrackTik charges $3,000+/month and locks you into annual contracts) and the generic ones (Connecteam wasn't designed for security). None of them were truly bilingual — just Google Translate slapped on top. None of them understood that in California, overtime is calculated per DAY after 8 hours, not just weekly.

So I decided to build what I would have wanted to have.

Actum Track wasn't designed by a product team in a WeWork office. It was designed by someone who has done patrol rounds, who has dealt with guards not showing up on time, who has had to explain to a client why the incident report is incomplete.

Every feature in the platform exists because it solves a problem I lived. Real-time GPS exists because I needed to know where the guards were. Automated payroll exists because I spent too many Sundays with Excel. The bilingual system exists because my team was mixed — some spoke English, some Spanish, and the software should work for everyone.
